1: That starting Xi (albeit not first choice) was chosen and setup to score an early goal. Best we could do was get 56% percentage and .5 XG. That Xi was talented enough to do more and we didnāt. BTW weāve had the majority of possession in all our losses.Ā
2: Speaking of doing more, Gonzo has consistently talked about simplifying the game for these players, you know whatās not simple? Having MORE of the ball. This team is not capable of playing tiki taka possession ball and Pineda has refused to adjust.Ā
*He said in his presser that he was not expecting LAFC to play with back 5. But they did. So basically a team did something outside of what they normally did in order to obtain a result. Interesting.Ā
3: Itās Embarrassing when we are undone by the simplest of things like balls over the top, & direct through balls that eliminate 3 defenders & not playing to the damn whistle. Tired of hearing praise from Gonzo for the basics when we donāt even execute those.Ā
4: Brooksā drop off is DEEPLY concerning. Weāve called him Mr Reliable for a reason. Heās been a robot at times with his endurance and consistency and something has happened with his software. He looks defeated, gassed and his service has been crap.Ā
5: āI liked the teamās fight and the chances we created after going down a manā Pineda in is his presser probably. If he genuinely thinks that really starting to play after conceding first AGAIN and going down a man is worthy of praise he needs to go. Truthfully there are plenty of other reasons for him to go. The mentality of this team top to bottom, players to coaches to social media team is wrong. There is no reason to keep him and the staff he brought in.Ā

1: This should NEVER have to be a take but unfortunately we still have players not playing for every ball or even until the whistle. Itās deeply concerning. Full blooded commitment has to be the bare minimum and even that appears lacking too often.Ā
2:Distribution from Guz isnāt bad most of the time but we are not winning the 2nd balls. Infact Nashvilleās goal comes off our inability to win those second balls in the middle of the field.Ā
3: When we did win a 2nd ball or a duel it came off Muyumba or Xande so, not bad games for them. But once we progress into the final third thereās no end product. Weāre reliant on individual magic but at least we did have one moment of it.Ā
4: Hasnāt been Saba time in quite some time. His flashiness is quite bright, his composure has been quite dull. Heās just been looking less & less like a genuine attacking threat & more & more like a flash in the pan.Ā
5: Nothing has changed. We almost conceded both immediately after scoring & after set pieces and dead ball situations. We were spared by luck, VAR & Nashville not being able to put it away. Weāre still a 2nd half team & still decimated by injuries.Ā

1: Well Jennifer got her wish with Saba playing on the left. But as soon as we put one of our more creative and dynamic players on the left, we played predominantly on the right. That was confounding especially when one of our best early chances came off the left.Ā
2: We are not utilizing Thiago to full effect and heās also not at his absolute best. Apart from that incredible ball he whipped in for GG heās just not inĀ possession in key dangerous areas where he can attract multiple defenders creating space for others. Heās drifting, trying to find the game.Ā
3: Once again we give up a soft goal from a reset of play. In fairness, weāre really missing a 6ā5ā Norwegian in those situations but thatās no excuse. And once again we conceded immediately after conceding. Weāre so easily exploited and teams know it.Ā
4: Our one goal came off some quick direct counter play. Sure would be nice if we did that more often.Ā
5: Gonzo is a really smart guy. Heās a student of the game. Heās very detail oriented. He knows every little detail about every opponent we face. Itās really impressive. But for unknown reasons, all of his knowledge is not translating to performance results and sooner rather than later itās going to become untenable.

1: To the left to the left, everything we had was going down the left. Points for trying, but nothing really threatening came of it. Grant it we are missing Xande but even with him in the XI we havenāt been able to create any attacking threats and that continues to be the case.Ā
2: *In the voice of Paula Cole* Where is our set piece threat? Why canāt we score a goal? Where have all our free kicks gone? Seriously, we use to be somewhat productive from free kicks and corners and now we get very little from either.Ā
3: We still look incredibly shaky on dead ball situations and resets in play. Literally with any stoppage in play we just donāt look ready when play resumes and the scouting report is out on that aspect of this team because weāre seeing more and more teams take free kicks and throw ins quickly.Ā
4: We looked really good in the last 20 minutes. If we could just figure out the other 70 we might really have something. It continues to be a total mystery as to why we cannot play with urgency and attacking dynamism over the course of an entire 90 minutes. Clearly we can do it in moments. We just should be able to replicate that over an entire match.Ā
5: We canāt count on our counter press. We donāt look in sync at all when we try to win the ball back. The players just look confused as to what the trigger for the press is. Credit to Slisz and also Dax, who we need to see more of FWIW, for individual efforts but it has to be more about the collective than one or two players.Ā

1: In recognition of 4/20 day Cincy played really high and we were not ready for it. At times it felt like we were playing NYRB and we all know how that goes. Usually we can raise our level to make our opponent uncomfortable. Today we couldnāt raise ours to meet theirs.Ā
2: The energy that Saba brings to EVERY play is DEEPLY appreciated but if he could just dial it back a touch on his final pass, I think with a little more finesse and a little less power heād have even more end product.Ā
3: Once again we took far too long to get going. Today it took us an entire half. Teams are figuring out that we donāt seem to be switched on at the start.Ā Itās a simple thing & itās killing us.
4: In the high five we talked about how there could be some communication errors to exploit on Cincyās back line, there werenāt. They looked like how we have looked up until now. They deserve a lot of credit.Ā
5: We talked last week about how we canāt let conceding soft goals become the story this season. Tonight we wrote another chapter. We have to flip this script IMMEDIATELY.

1: The first half felt like we were pointing a gun at Philly, but both teams knew it wasĀ unloaded. As expected we lacked a finishing threat and we played like it in the final third. In the second we loaded it and found some different weapons.Ā
2: All around, despite the result, we still looked solid defensively considering the absences. Weāre still blocking shots & most importantly communicating and staying organized as a result. Depth players couldāve REALLY done with a win here though.
3: It was all yellow for Philly in the first half. Good. Happy to see refs dishing out the cards when teams play Curtain ball as it were. Martinez still shouldāve been out on a 2nd for kicking the ball away. Yellow is yellow.Ā
4: We have been missing the dynamic and creative Thiago we have grown accustomed to. He showed up in the 2nd half. He stopped drifting out wide & got involved centrally in space. We have depth now so weāre not asking him to put the team on his back but he needs to keep playing like he did today in the 2nd half.Ā
5: Those were two of the most Philly goals we will ever see. Both were against the run of play, both wereā¦dubious in nature. On the first, the ball appeared to go out of play in the build up and the second was off a foul throw. They got under our skin, as they do, and got the brief momentum they needed to flip the game.

1: Considering how well weāve been performing defensively, itās really frustrating to give up a goal in that manner. The penalty is soft but the opportunity comes from our own error.Ā
2: Both teams created as many opportunities for the other as they did for themselves. NYC got a little fortunate with their goal. We provided everything but the finish for the majority of the match.Ā
3: We were missing GGās frame to help get it on frame. On top of being a great goal scorer, his strength and hold up play has also been key. Heās also our best aerial threat weāve maybe ever had and we missed that.Ā
4: Heās big, heās bald he can f-ing do it all. Itās been a little while since weāve had Brad be so key both defensively and offensively. Heās done all thatās been asked of him and then some.Ā
5: Were Riosā and Firmino's legs broken? Didnāt agree with Etienne at the 9. He did have his opportunity to win not only the game but possibly more minutes, but for some reason he heads it away from goal instead of directly into net. He continues to be what heās been.
